Dr. Xiangtong Meng is currently an associate professor of College of Chemical Engineering at Beijing University of Chemical Technology. He received his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Technology from Dalian University of Technology in Sep. 2018. During Sep. 2016 to Mar. 2018, he worked as a visiting scholar at Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Meng received the Excellence Award of CPCIF-Clariant CleanTech Award in 2021 and the Bronze Prize (Chemical Engineering and Materials) of the first Jingbo Doctoral Dissertation Award in 2019. He was selected as the Outstanding Reviewer of Journal Materials Chemistry A in 2018.

Dr. Meng mainly focuses on the design and construction of functional carbon materials for Photovoltaic/Photothermal applications (e.g., solar cells and solar-driven evaporation) and Electrocatalysis for small molecules. As first/corresponding author, he has published more than 20 papers in peer-reviewed journals including Angew. Chem.,  Adv. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., ACS Catal., Adv. Funct. Mater., Nano Energy (9 papers with IF >13 and 3 ESI highly-cited papers). Now he is the Guest Editor of Catalysts (one journal of MDPI) and the Member of Youth Editorial Board of Clean Coal Technology (one journal at home).
